1. Introduction
Emmanuel Ferrer Flegeau, trading as ChemFunatics, is the controller of personal information used to handle educational enquiries and service requests. ChemFunatics is based in Madrid, Spain. Contact and privacy rights: chemfunatics@gmail.com. This notice covers the website, accounts, enquiry and service-request forms and related correspondence. Submitting a request does not make a booking or contract, reserve a place or take a payment.
2. Information We Collect
An account is required to submit and view private lesson, mentoring, small-group and intensive-course requests. We process your account email and authentication information, the study information, goals, availability and time zone you submit, the selected service and its price or schedule at the time of the request, and request and notification status. Older enquiry forms may also request an adult contact’s name, role and the student’s age band. For students aged 16–17, a parent or legal guardian aged 18 or over must make the enquiry and remain the contact. Forms are not intended for students under 16. Ordinary enquiries can be sent without an account using your email address and message. Do not send identity documents, dates of birth, medical information, payment details or unnecessary personal information.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use enquiry information to reply, assess suitable support and discuss possible arrangements. Requests are reviewed manually by Emmanuel. If you separately request event-specific updates, we use your contact details for that event purpose. Optional general ChemFunatics updates cover lessons, small groups, courses and masterclasses. Declining updates does not affect an enquiry. We do not use enquiry information for automated admission decisions. Accounts let you submit and review your own requests. Acknowledgement emails confirm receipt only. The contact form sends your message to ChemFunatics and does not send an automatic reply or subscribe you to marketing. To protect this form from abuse and duplicates, we temporarily record pseudonymous request, email and IP identifiers, timestamps and delivery status; the message itself is handled in the email systems, not stored in this temporary antispam table.
4. Legal Basis for Processing
For adults enquiring for themselves, we use information to take steps requested before a possible contract. For a guardian’s enquiry, this applies to the adult’s contact details; limited student information is used for our legitimate interest in assessing support requested by the guardian, taking account of the student’s rights. General correspondence is handled on our legitimate interest in responding. Optional general updates and requested event-specific updates rely on consent, which can be withdrawn separately. Legal obligations may require specific records to be retained.
5. Website Analytics
The website is hosted by Framer. Website infrastructure may process technical information needed to deliver and protect the site. Enquiry information is not used for advertising profiles or email-open tracking.
6. Cookies
Website services may use technical storage and similar technologies to deliver and protect the site. Where additional technologies require consent, the relevant choice must be provided before activation. For questions about website privacy, contact chemfunatics@gmail.com.
7. Service Providers
Framer hosts the website. Supabase provides account authentication and storage of service requests and their status. Resend sends account verification and recovery emails, service-request acknowledgements and notifications, and website enquiries to ChemFunatics. Gmail is used to receive and answer enquiries. Google Forms and Google Drive may retain older enquiry responses and related records. Emmanuel reviews and manages these records. Providers process the technical information needed to operate their services under their own privacy information. The current forms do not take payments. We do not share an enquiry with other students or add it to a shared participant list. A separate minimal adult contact and consent record may be kept for optional updates.
Cloudflare, Inc. provides Turnstile security checks on our contact and account forms to help distinguish people from automated traffic. Turnstile processes technical signals, including IP address, browser and connection information, and the website where the check runs. Cloudflare processes these signals on our behalf to provide the service and also acts as a controller when using them to improve Turnstile’s bot detection. 8. External Links and Social Media
Links to Google Forms or other external services take you to those services, which have their own privacy information. Read the notice displayed with each form. This website’s enquiry process does not require payment information.
9. Data Retention
Ordinary enquiries are scheduled for manual deletion 90 days after closure. Any necessary, justified longer retention is documented and reviewed separately. Event-specific interest is reviewed six months after each submission and when the event purpose ends; records no longer needed are deleted, or justified further retention is documented and reviewed. Optional general updates are reviewed at least annually for usefulness, invalid addresses and withdrawals. Contacts are deleted when continued retention is no longer justified; annual renewal of consent is not required. Minimal consent or withdrawal evidence may be retained separately where necessary to demonstrate compliance or respect a choice, with its need reviewed separately. These reviews include enquiry and service-request records held in Supabase and email systems. Account, request, notification and audit records are not automatically deleted by the website; retention and deletion are managed manually according to the relevant purpose and any justified recordkeeping need. You can contact us to request account or data deletion. Temporary contact-antispam records become eligible for deletion after 24 hours and are cleared when a subsequent contact request runs; this is not a scheduled deletion of your account or email correspondence.
10. Data Security
Emmanuel manages enquiries and service requests. Signed-in users can view their own requests; they do not receive access to other users’ records. Service providers process information as necessary to operate the website, authentication, storage and email services. Information is handled using reasonable security measures and minimum necessary access. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Please avoid sending sensitive documents or unnecessary personal information through forms or email.
11. Your Data Protection Rights
You may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability where applicable, or object to processing based on legitimate interests. You can withdraw general-updates consent or event-specific consent separately at any time by emailing chemfunatics@gmail.com, without affecting earlier lawful processing. You may complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency: https://www.aepd.es.
12. Children's Privacy
Services and enquiry forms are intended for students aged 16 or over. Adults aged 18 or over may enquire for themselves. For a student aged 16–17, a parent or legal guardian aged 18 or over must enquire and remain the contact for proposed arrangements. Provide only the limited study information requested. We do not require a minor’s direct email or identity documents in these forms. No recording of sessions is authorised by submitting an enquiry.
13. International Users
Framer, Supabase, Resend and Google use international infrastructure. ChemFunatics remains your contact for information processed on its behalf. We do not promise EU-only storage.
14. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We will update this notice when the enquiry process or relevant processing changes. New purposes or paid-service arrangements will be explained before the relevant information is collected or used. This version covers the enquiry phase; it does not activate bookings, payments or admission.
